In additional to general healthcare support, year-round health care programs provide free dentistry, ophthalmology, cardiology and paediatric services for our employees and the local communities.
The Company undertakes regular prevention campaigns which build awareness and enhance early detection of diseases and conditions such as breast cancer and substance dependency.
Environmental performance and preservation of local biodiversity is of paramount importance to Sales de Jujuy. A Sustainability Report is prepared each year outlining core environmental metrics such as the operation’s energy, emissions, water and waste profile. A participatory environmental monitoring program is conducted with representatives of the community every quarter to evaluate local biodiversity trends and impacts.
Sales de Jujuy reports regularly to local government on its environmental performance and undertakes a review and update of its Environmental Impact Assessment every two years, with community and government approval. The Company also provides workshops in the local communities on environmental care, treatment of waste and its reprocessing.
